Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual for the role of Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant. In this position, you will be responsible for various accounting tasks within our company's accounting department. These tasks include processing accounts receivable and accounts payable, handling payroll, assisting with employee benefits, and completing a full set of books. Reporting to the Controller and CFO, you will provide support as needed.

The ideal candidate should have an Associate's Degree in Accounting or a minimum of three years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting clerk, payroll, or related roles. Strong computer skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based office environment are also essential. Your role will involve handling confidential information, and all necessary training will be provided.

Salary Range:
Up to $22.00 per hour based on experience

Responsibilities:
- Create and record journal entries, preparing financial statements
- Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
- Handle payroll tasks, including quarterly and year-end tax statements
- Assist with employee benefits administration
- Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain a full set of books
- Provide support to the Controller and CFO as needed
- Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Accounting or a minimum of three years of bookkeeping, accounting clerk, payroll, or related experience
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in using computers and common software applications
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping

Work Environment:
As a Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant, you will work in a comfortable office environment with controlled temperature conditions. Your regular working hours will involve sitting at a desk, using a standard keyboard, and reading information from computer terminals and written resources.
