**Accountant**

**Salary Range:** $50,000 - $75,000/year based on experience

**Work Days/Hours:** Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

**Position Summary:**

In this role, you will be responsible for securing financial operations by monitoring and approving financial processing, reporting, reconciling, analyzing, auditing, and managing payroll preparation, including the same services for contract bookkeeping clients.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

- General Ledger: Post transactions and enter journal entries monthly after reconciling accounts to produce financial statements. Attention to detail is crucial.
- Accounts Payable: Ensure timely payment to vendors.
- Reconciling bank statements: Keep the general ledger up to date.
- Payroll: Process payroll, set up payroll tax deposits promptly, and prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax returns. Includes benefits administration, worker compensation, developing standards, financial skills, accounting, and payroll.
- Monthly Financial Statements: Prepare timely and accurate financial statements with analysis and related reports and schedules. Ability to work effectively with multiple deadlines and priorities is essential.
- Keep management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports, summarizing information, and identifying trends.
- Protect the organization's value by maintaining confidential information internally and externally as required.
- Maintain financial security by understanding the company's operational systems and adhering to internal controls.
- Contribute to team efforts by completing related projects as necessary.
- Stay updated on industry trends by engaging in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Fulfill accounting and organizational objectives by achieving related results as needed.

**Qualifications:**

To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting (preferred).
- Minimum of three years' experience as a accountant or full-charge bookkeeper.
